RRAHA – Ramakkalmedu Resorts and Homestays Association is a collective platform representing Resorts, Homestays, Farm Stays and other Tourism Stakeholders in and around Ramakkalmedu, Idukki, Kerala. Rooted in the unique natural beauty, cultural heritage and tourism potential of Ramakkalmedu, RRAHA brings together tourism entrepreneurs with a shared vision of developing the destination in a responsible, sustainable and professionally managed manner. Our association serves as a common platform where hospitality providers can come together, share ideas, address common challenges, collaborate with government adn tourism authorities, and work towards improving the overall visitors experience at Ramakkalmedu. RRAha believes that the growth of individual tourism establishments adn the growth of the destination are closely connected. A Land Shaped by Wind, Stone and Stories
Every destination has a story. Ramakkalmedu has many.
The landscape tells the story of the Western Ghats. The wind tells the story of a naturally powerful highland. The rocks carry stories passed down through generations. The Kuravan and Kurathi monument connects the destination with the history of the Idukki region and its iconic Idukki Dam. And the name Ramakkalmedu itself is connected to one of the region’s most enduring legends.
Located at the eastern edge of Kerala, Ramakkalmedu looks across the border towards the fertile plains and settlements of Tamil Nadu. From the high viewpoints, visitors can enjoy expansive views of the Cumbum and surrounding valleys.

The Minister expressed his willingness to visit Ramakkalmedu.
After sustained efforts by RRAHA – Ramakkalmedu Resorts and Homestays Association, the team were able to meet the Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri P. C. Vishnunath with our beloved Udumbanchols MLA Shri. Senapathi Venu. The RRAHA Team presented the Development Project Proposals for Ramakkalmedu.
The Minister expressed his willingness to visit Ramakkalmedu and assured the association that he would make every possible effort to support and implement the proposed projects.
