He stepped onto the massive rock at the summit to scan the vast horizon for any sign or path taken by Ravana. Because the land was blessed by the touch of his holy feet, the local inhabitants named the entire hill range after this event. Today, the site maintains as a spiritual aura, drawing both devotees and travelers who want to stand on the very rocks where the historic search took place.
